Sometimes when things are crazy, it's too hard to write about any of them!

Jenn and Jet's wedding was super fun, and driving in the bit of snow wasn't too awful. We extended our trip a whole lot to avoid the snow and Blatimore.

My trip to Albuquerque took 12 extra hours, with my luggage taking 8 more. US Airways is indeed the worst airline in the world.

New Mexico won its own bowl! Hooray!

Even the worst days have a silver lining: Substituting awkward conversations with self-revelation.

Christmas eve we went to my uncle and aunt's house. My cousins keep getting older, and the youngest has changed a lot in the last couple years! I almost wasn't sure it was her when she opened the door. It's good to see family and eat New Mexican food.

Christmas involved Waffle House and Thai food. We also watched Borat. It was a quiet holiday.

The day after, my sis and I went shopping and then visited with G&A. We went to bed early since my flight out was so early. I had no problems getting to Philly, although I thought for a moment Joe had stranded me there when really he had just parked and gone inside to find me while I was actually outside.

I got the snowman head done, despite losing a piece and having to redo it.

I'm slowing working through my pile of grading.

Tonight Joe and I will go out to dinner (possibly with his friend, maybe without) and then we'll come home so we can watch the ball drop and all that. 2008 will be good.

I knew the job search wouldn't be easy, but it pretty much just sucks so far. After a de facto rejection from Villanova (not a good fit) and outright rejections from Cornell and Robert Wood Johnson (not cool enough), I'm not feeling terribly optimistic.

I got a KitchenAid mixer for real cheap today on Amazon, and I also got a spate of holiday shopping completed. Hooray!

My house is hot. Booo.

Some new photos are up (I've been a huge slacker for 6 weeks). This batch is of the Dartmouth game, featuring lots of crust. Holidays to come in the next few days.

Saturday we drove out to the outlet mall across the Bay Bridge. It was bustling, but not totally insane within each store since there are a million of them. I didn't buy anything for myself since I've bought a ton of clothes lately (a ton for me, at least) and sales are better after Christmas. But I got one gift, and I avoided getting a snowflake sweater that Joey liked. :)

We came back up an alternate route, which was really fun. We stopped at a tasty Italian restaurant. We tried to go bowling, but because Maryland is stupid and has duckpin everywhere, the regular lanes had a 40 minute wait. So we went to Kohl's instead and bought a 4-ft tree and a box of decorations so we could have a fun little Christmas treat at my house. It's cute, even though it doesn't have that nice pine smell -- Joey's allergic, so none of that for us, I'm afraid.

Yesterday was gloomy out. I went to school for a bit and then we made pizza.
