This list is for course staff using OS/161 for teaching to discuss potentially sensitive issues, including solution sets, solution implementation techniques, testing, grading policies, assignment design, and whatnot. This list is closed, the intent being to prevent disclosure of its material to students taking classes using OS/161. Along with your subscription, please send mail to the list administrator explaining who you are and, preferably, including some simple basic authentication showing that you should, in fact, be granted access to the list. Subscription attempts unaccompanied by this material will be ignored and/or summarily rejected. Owing to lack of demand (and fundamental academic difficulties) there is no longer an open discussion list. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the os161-instructors Archives. Subscribing to os161-instructors
Subscribe to os161-instructors by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
