so, back in california and happy. i must recommend the new stars album, in our bedroom after the war, to all of you. i cannot yet say whether it is better than in my opinion the album of the decade, their earlier album, heart, but it is really, really good. i fiured out what it is about stars that resonates so much with me: their music, quite simply, is love. they take love, and they turn it into musical form, and as a romantic idealist, of course i find this so, so good. and they're on tour! go see them.
